About
Daily Stock Winner is a simple, free project that shows which stocks performed better today.
That's it.
Every day, we look at companies in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 and summarize:
- which stocks went up or down
- who won today based on daily performance
- short, high-level trends over recent days
The goal is to make market movement easy to see at a glance, without charts, terminals, or financial jargon.
What this site is
- A daily scoreboard for stocks
- A comparison tool, not a recommendation engine
- A summary, not a dataset
- Built for curiosity and learning
If you've ever wondered, "Which stock did better today?" This site answers that quickly and clearly.
What this site is not
- Not investment advice
- Not a trading platform
- Not real-time market data
- Not a source of historical price datasets
Nothing here tells you what to buy, sell, or hold.
Data & methodology
- Stock performance is summarized using daily percentage change.
- Results are updated once per day after markets close.
- Short history is shown only as derived summaries (e.g. up/down days, streaks).
- Market data is sourced from third-party providers and used solely to produce informational summaries.
Why this exists
Financial websites are often noisy, complex, and built for professionals. This project explores the opposite: minimal UI, simple questions, clear answers. It is an experiment in clarity over complexity.
